Only a hour flight away from Las Vegas we visit frequently, sometimes once a month. I'll be sharing our trip reports, tips on making the most of your stay in Vegas, reviews of restaurants and shows we have seen, along with my thoughts related to our favorite place to get away from it all.

Bellagio Chinese Year of the Dragon Conservatory Display

I will be writing up a trip report for January 2012 in the future but in the meantime I thought I would break out some of the sections that will have a lot of photos in them and also for people eager to see some of the current Chinese New Year displays they won't have to wait.
The Year of the Dragon display at Bellagio is one of the best I have seen lately. Both the green and red dragon's slowly move and are beside each other to the left when you enter the conservatory.
In a couple days I will post photos from the Palazzo Chinese New Year Display and you can compare between the two. While Bellagio's is much larger and more elaborate, Palazzo's smaller display did not disappoint.
Remember to click on photos to enlarge them and for more photos click on "read more". I also hope to have a video up soon of this display.

  3. Thanks Deann, I knew you would love them. Thinking of you waiting for the photos is the main reason I posted them now. :)

  4. I just came back from Vegas, and your pictures really give the display justice. I wish my pictures were even half as good. What time of day did you go that it was so empty? When I went on Saturday it was like a small convention. Of course, thats what you get going on Saturday.

  6. Thanks Angela and Anonymous. :)

The photos were taken about 2:30am on Friday January 20th. I always wait and try to take them between 2:30am and 3:30am to avoid the day time crowds and the early morning Bellagio cleaning crew.
