Only a hour flight away from Las Vegas we visit frequently, sometimes once a month. I'll be sharing our trip reports, tips on making the most of your stay in Vegas, reviews of restaurants and shows we have seen, along with my thoughts related to our favorite place to get away from it all.

Palazzo's Year of the Dragon display 2012

Palazzo's Chinese New Year Display Year of the Dragon was well done too though not as elaborate as Bellagio's likely due to space issues.
These photos were taken January 18th, 2012. The dragon was breathing out smoke but rumor has it that the following week when it opened officially it would also breathe out fire.

Bellagio Chinese Year of the Dragon Conservatory Display

I will be writing up a trip report for January 2012 in the future but in the meantime I thought I would break out some of the sections that will have a lot of photos in them and also for people eager to see some of the current Chinese New Year displays they won't have to wait.
The Year of the Dragon display at Bellagio is one of the best I have seen lately. Both the green and red dragon's slowly move and are beside each other to the left when you enter the conservatory.
In a couple days I will post photos from the Palazzo Chinese New Year Display and you can compare between the two. While Bellagio's is much larger and more elaborate, Palazzo's smaller display did not disappoint.
Remember to click on photos to enlarge them and for more photos click on "read more". I also hope to have a video up soon of this display.
