Only a hour flight away from Las Vegas we visit frequently, sometimes once a month. I'll be sharing our trip reports, tips on making the most of your stay in Vegas, reviews of restaurants and shows we have seen, along with my thoughts related to our favorite place to get away from it all.

Chinese New Year, Vegas Style!

This is part of my upcoming 7 night  trip report in Las Vegas for Valentine's Day with my husband and a couple days later Lowrance's, 60th birthday party celebration!
The first 3 nights of the trip was at Palazzo where after a day of losing I convinced my husband we needed to walk around the Palazzo snake three times for good luck! It did seem to slow down our losses and result in a few wins but I guess we needed to walk around it every day, which we neglected to do!
The last night of my Vegas stay was at Aria and here's the decorations they had near the main entrance where registration is located.
The best display of Chinese New Year, the year of the snake is as in year's past, the Bellagio Conservatory!
There are many things I dislike these days about MGM/M-Life resorts, but the Bellagio Fountains and Conservatory remain two of the outstanding free attractions of Las Vegas for all ages, and Jen, Gwen and I made a special trip to Bellagio to admire the latest, Year of the Snake display.
Jen and Gwen, two fun ladies! While I was having a very unlucky trip Gwen was breaking records for most hand pays during a visit to Vegas!

With Gwen and Jen in front of one of the Wynn snakes near their main entrance. I enjoyed the beauty of Wynn and Encore for three nights, the gambling not so much!

  1. Thanks for the reports so far Diana, and while I love your blog and reports and look forward to each one, sometimes it is torture to read as I wait for my own trip as it makes it hard to wait patiently :) . I love walking around seeing the Bellagio and Wynn and just the atmosphere of chilling in Vegas and your picture bring that right out.

Thanks again for the time and effort to take pictures and write up your reports, they are greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks
    Ken
